The Coronado Mountain Biking Team took 5th in their division in Frisco. Zoe Griffin class of 2026, Ysabel Srnka class of 2027, Josiah Miller class of 2024, and Nathan Brinski class of 2027 all helped Coronado secure a 5th place standing overall. Ian Hunt, class of 2025 finished 9th in JV boys, Addie Elston class of 2024 finished 12th in JV girls, and Ysabel Srnka finished 11th in the freshman division.
After the race, Brent Urban, the teacher sponsor of the Mountain Bike Club, said, “Our riders have worked extremely hard over the last summer and past year to get in shape and compete with some of the best riders in the country. All of them are showing improvement and growth and we are extremely proud of them.”
Nathan Brinski commented on the past race: “I do not know what I would have done differently. It was just a lot of fun.” Overall, the team did well and had fun at the race.
