As the Student Council election is approaching, sign-up packets are available to be picked up at the front office or in room 18. Packets must be filled out and turned into Mr. Kaufer by March 17 and elections will be held on April 7.

The packet describes the requirements to be elected, which include having a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher, no more than 24 unexcused absences, no “F’s” the previous semester, as well as the willingness to be available over the summer, on weekends, and after school.

Mr. Kaufer, spoke on the qualities needed to be a student council member: “Coronado is looking for positive, hardworking people who like to help others and are inspired to make a change in our school. It’s important to have people who are not afraid to show leadership in all the events that will take place during the year.”
