The last game started at 6pm at Garry Berry Stadium. At the end of the game it was 42 to 39 with a closely fought game but unfortunately a loss. Senior Lyrik Smith, starting wide receiver, mentioned how he is thankful and inspired by the coaches and his mom to play every game with his best effort, saying,”We need to treat every team like they are the best in the state and play as hard as we can every game.”
While interviewing Senior Thomas Buckmiller, starting quarterback, he says that he believes in all his players during the game. When asking who Thomas looks to throw the ball to every game he explained, “All my guys got the hot hand I just looked for who is open.” To be ready for the next game, he knows that him and his team have to emphasize the little things during the game and practice.
Buckmiller loves the pressure and ability to control the game at his quarterback position. Thanks to the coach he feels like he is given a voice of importance and appreciates the chance given to him. The next game is a home game at Garry Berry Stadium against the Berthoud Spartans at 6:30 pm. The only thing that the football team needs to do is play the way they were taught and approach the game with awareness and a clear mind.
