The Coronado Varsity soccer team had their first loss of the season against Pine Creek on Sept 28. Previously, they had been undefeated with six wins, ranking third in the state and looking to continue on a winning streak. This loss was a close game, as the final score was 2-1. Contributors to the Cougar effort included Angelo Salazar, 12, scoring the only Coronado goal of the game, and goalkeeper Chase McElhany, 12, saving 14 attempted shots.
