Students at Coronado High School walked out of class on Wednesday, September 18th, to join a nationwide protest against gun violence. Many students walked to King Soopers with custom signs and chants to join the change.
Some of the chants included, “Ban guns, not phones,” “No more silence end gun violence,” “Protect your kids,” and “Books, not guns.”
The protest lasted the whole class period and had a small moment of silence for the victims of the recurring issue in our country. The goal was to raise awareness and encourage lawmakers to pass stronger gun safety laws.
