On Monday, September 15, the Coronado Cougars boys team took on the Mullen Mustangs. The matchup was challenging; however, the Mustangs took the 3-0 win.
While the score wasn’t in Coronado’s favor, the cougars put up a fight and didn’t let the loss affect how they played. They fought all the way to the final whistle.
Still, what stood out the most wasn’t the final score, but the fight the Cougars put up. From the first goal scored, they remained strong and kept themselves in the game. Matix Mead, Class of 2027, says, “Our biggest challenge was man marking and possession.” This was a major factor in their struggles against Mullen. “my favorite part about the team is moments that we can have very good chemestry, and everyone plays for each other” Sam wilshusen class of 2027 says. “we tend sto do pretty good at keeping our head up. its obviously hard to come back, but we encourage each other and give it our all
