Homecoming week is officially underway at Coronado High School, one of the biggest events of the year that brings together students, faculty, alumni, and the community. From themed dress-up days, the big football game, exciting floats at the parade, and (the most anticipated event) the dance, it’s a week that celebrates school pride and unity. With tickets on sale and events in motion, students are diving headfirst into programming a week full of fun and school spirit.
But this year brings a new twist—Ms. Ambroz, the new advisor for Student Council and activities director, is learning the ropes alongside a passionate student cabinet.
Student Body President Ella Lachance shared, “I want everything to go smoothly. I am a very organized person, and I am comfortable in my position and responsibilities, and I want everyone else to feel the same.” Her leadership, paired with her partner and Vice President Allie Micci’s emphasis on experience and guidance, is helping the class navigate the transition.
The student cabinet leaders play a big role in organizing Homecoming events. From coordinating decorations to managing ticket sales and promoting school spirit, their leadership ensures that every detail is handled mindfully. “Cabinet positions are super important this year,” said Vice President Allie Micci, adding, “We need good experience and strong leadership to guide the class, especially with a new teacher.”
Despite a hectic start, the team is already seeing positive changes: fresh ideas, stronger organization, and a renewed focus on inclusivity. Allie added, “We are very excited that everyone loves the theme. It’s broad and inclusive, which makes it super fun to decorate!”
With Cougar pride running high and a dynamic team leading the charge, Coronado’s Homecoming is shaping up to be a great event for this 25-26 school year!
