Our Varsity Boys Basketball team is now 0-2 with a loss against the Mesa Ridge Grizzlies. The Cougars finished the 1st period at a 13-18 deficit, but tied the Grizzlies 18-18 in the 2nd period to end the half. Coronado still hung in for the duration of the 3rd period, losing that quarter by a point, 14-15. However, Mesa Ridge sealed the deal in the 4th quarter, outscoring Coronado 10-17.

Coronado’s high scorer was Tyler Castellanos, 12, with 16 points. Mesa Ridge’s high scorer was Deven Nelson, 10, with 15 points.

The Cougars next game will be at 0-1 Discovery Canyon on Tuesday, Dec. 8th.
