Coronado’s Varsity Boys Basketball team is still looking for a first win after a loss to the Discovery Canyon Thunder. Coronado started off the contest with a tough 1st quarter. The period finished with a 5-21 score in favor of the Thunder. However, Coronado performed considerably better in the 2nd, scoring 21 to Discovery Canyon’s 25. They again scored 21 in the 3rd period, and held Thunder to only 15. Unfortunately, the momentum from the 2nd & 3rd quarters wouldn’t be enough, Discovery Canyon outscoring the Cougars in the 4th quarter 8-9.

Coronado’s high scorer was Tyler Castellanos, 12, with 23 points. The Thunder’s highest scorer was Hunter Williams, 12, with 19 points.

Hopefully Coronado can get in the win column after their Palmer Tournament game vs. 3-0 Eaglecrest on Wednesday, Dec. 9th.
