On Feb 25th at The Black Sheep, The Ready Set, an electro pop act performed. At their first show of the year the band was extremely active and hyped up. The concert started with local pop-punk band Redisyn followed by pop-punk band Why They Fight and then acoustic act Manic. finally ending with the headliner The Ready Set. While the three openers were fairly unknown, the stage presence and energy they had on stage really caused the whole venue to feel upbeat with bands Redisyn and Why They Fight taking time to promote their new albums that are coming out. Every artist that performed including The Ready Set also had free meet and greets after the show which caused the venue to have a more friendly atmosphere along with the lead vocalist of Redisyn and Manic. to even jump in after the show and dance along with the crowd and talk to people and take selfies along with having a great time.
The Ready Set, once on stage, performed songs from their upcoming album,” I Will be Nothing Without Your Love” which comes out April 8. They also performed songs from past albums like “Love Like Woe” from “I’m Alive I’m Dreaming,” their first album and “Freaking Me Out” the lead single off “The Bad & The Better”.
All in all the concert not only showed how far the band has gotten since starting in 2009 but how much fun they still have while performing and as it is only the beginning of the year, they can only get better.
