Coronado Security Team Brings “Movers for Moms” to School

Sam Strait, Staff Writer

The Coronado Security Team has partnered with Two Men and a Truck to bring presents and needed items to mothers and their children in local shelters. The program is called “Movers for Moms,” and has been operated by local Two Men and a Truck franchises nationwide for a few years. Coronado’s security officers would like all students who can to donate items for the program, so that those items can be distributed to Colorado Springs area shelters.

How to Help

Drop any of the following items off at the collection bin next to the Coronado security desk:

  • Women’s and children’s clothing (new or gently used.)
  • Hygiene products (soaps, deodorants, lotions, etc.)
  • Kids’ toys or games (new or gently used.)
  • Books/magazines.
  • DVDs/CDs.

Items can be dropped off up until Mother’s Day. Don’t forget to donate, it may just make someone’s Mother’s Day a little more special.
