Men’s Varsity Tennis is Causing a Racket This Season

Riley Burgess, Staff Writer

Men’s varsity Tennis continues their victory streak in the second week of the season with a current record of 5-0, beating both The Vanguard School and Liberty this week.

Their first game for the week was on Tuesday the fifth, playing The Vanguard School and leaving them mercilessly defeated with a 7-0 score. Out of 15 sets between 7 games, only one set was lost but sophomore Reilly Fredell saved the game in the third set and helped The Cougars remain undefeated.

The second game was against Liberty, who was also defeated across the board in all 7 games, giving the Cougars another 7-0 score. Junior Tucker Travins feels good about the team’s success this year and said, “I think we’re doing pretty good even though we lost a few seniors. We’re really trying in every spot cause last year some of our lower spots were falling kind of behind but this year it seems like every spot is working pretty good for the team.”

We Cougars can help support Men’s varsity Tennis in remaining undefeated this season by showing our team spirit at their future games. Their next home game will be against Palmer on Tuesday the 12th at 4pm. See you there Cougars!
