The varsity softball team fought hard this week, with 2 close games against Fountain Fort Carson and Doherty bringing their current season record to 2-10. The game against Doherty occurred on 9/12 and started very close at a 2-2 tie for the first 3 innings but in the 4th inning Doherty pulled ahead with 4 runs compared to just 1 by Coronado Coronado, ending the game at a score of 3-6. For the second game against Fountain Fort Carson on 9/14, Coronado lost a long but close game with a score of 9-15. The Cougars started strong, scoring 4 runs in the first 3 innings but Fountain Fort Carson caught up mostly in the 5th inning making 7 runs compared to Coronado’s 4.
