Becca Is Back At It!
December 15, 2017
Everyone’s favorite purple-haired photographer, Becca Bieda,12, was just given a $200 grant for her photography! She received this grant from the Pikes Peak Arts Council MicroGrant who gave her this award “as a sign of respect for [Becca’s] work, and in deep appreciation for the contributions [she] make[s] everyday to [Colorado Springs’] arts and cultural community” said PPAC Executive Director Kate Perdoni!
Pikes Peak Arts Council is a non-profit organization that gives out both monthly and quarterly MicroGrants to help members of the Pikes Peak region’s art community to fund specific projects or other expenses. Since 2009, PPAC has granted over $40,000 to artists in the area!
Bieda is planning on using this MicroGrant for entering into upcoming shows or investing in editing software like Lightroom 6 or VSCO Pre-Sets.
To win a grant from PPAC, Becca had to fill out an online application that asks for personal information, art concentration, education/history, 3 links to pieces of her work, 2 of these links were attached to her photographs and the third link she attached to her Instagram.
Make sure to congratulate Becca on this award and if you want to see more of her amazing photography follow her on Instagram @beccabieda
