The Physical Education Department

Mohss Schwamman, Staff Writer

The Physical Education (P.E.) department offers many options for students to fill their required graduation credits.  Colorado requires all students to take health and most of us do that during freshman year.

Additionally, three P.E. classes are required for graduation. Some of the classes have fees associated with enrollment and some have other requirements; all of the classes but bowling, aquatics, and lifeguard training require you to wear an $8 uniform.  See the list for your many options, including three new classes, H.I.T. Fitness,  and Yoga.

There are no HONORS options for classes in the P.E. department

The P.E. department features some of the more well-known teachers in the school as many of them also coach or lead clubs. Sadly, Coach Christensen is hanging up his whistle at the end of the year,  but maybe someone equally hilarious will take his place….

Instructors in Coronado’s P.E. department include Coach Lizarraga, Coach Felix, sponsor of the Rock Climbing Club,Coach Gutowski, Head Football Coach, Coach Kenoyer, Assistant Softball Coach, and Coach Curry, Lifeguarding Facilitator.
