The two teachers in the Art Department are Mrs. Foos and Mr. Magnuson. Both Mrs. Foos and Mr. Magnuson teach drawing and painting classes, but Mrs. Foos teaches the Digital Photography classes along with the Studio Art 2D AP 1,2 course. Mr. Magnuson teaches Jewelry, Ceramics, Sculpture and the Studio Art 3D AP 1,2 course. Mrs. Foo’s photography classes require a camera with adjustable aperture and shutter speed and every art class has supply fee (listed the Coronado course catalog). Students have the opportunity to take all level 3/4 art classes as an Honors credit.
If you are unable to fit an art class into your schedule, both Mrs. Foos and Mr. Magnuson run the art club which meets every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3:15pm-4:15pm in rooms 413 and 414.
If you have any more questions on all the art department or a description of each of the courses offered, check out the course description on the Coronado High School website!
