The Business Department

Riley Burgess, Staff Writer

Coronado’s Business Department offers many clubs, classes, and programs that focus on valuable lessons in money management, computer sciences, and other skills useful in future opportunities. Ms. Brandt is the chair of the department and works alongside Mr. Gryboski, Mr. Philipsen, and Mr. Yeh to manage the many classes offered.

Mr. Gryboski teaches Personal Finance, Business Law, Accounting, and Game Programming. He also supervises the Entrepreneurship Club, which gives members an opportunity to learn what it’s like to be in an important position in the business world and allows them to experience responsibility and management. Mr. Gryboski said that “The business department encompasses job ready skills and trying to get students ready for the workplace as well as continuing education. We primarily focus on practical skills… like in my personal finance class, when you start saving money, what type of investments are a good option as you get older.”
