Falling in Love With Fall

Lauren Strizich, Staff Writer

Fall has arrived! This means pumpkin spice is back in season. It is in everything: coffees, teas, breads. It is a lot of pumpkin but that is not the only thing fall brings. Leaves are changing! It is a beautiful time in the mountains to see the leaves gradually change colors, it comes highly recommended to get out and take some photos in the crisp leaves.

Some students took advantage of the fall leaves and drove to Divide, Colorado where they got some amazing photos. Erin Field and her friends enjoyed getting out “seeing the aspen trees” and taking “some fall photos” after all “it is that time of year.” Make sure to capture the moment before it leaves.

Fall is also a time for hot beverages, quality reading, and cuddling up in a warm blanket and watching Netflix. Definitely the coziest season. Erin loves the “fuzzy socks, hot chocolate” and the overall “cozy vibe” that comes with fall. Fuzzy socks are perhaps the greatest invention ever made for ones feet, they allow you to slide across every wood surface.

The cool weather is also the ideal running weather. Cross country is thriving in the crisp air of the fall. They are about to run at regionals in Montrose and are prepared for the competition. Miles Medina loves “running through the fall weather with the boys” and is ready to run with them in Montrose in hopes of qualifying for the state meet.

Enjoy the fall weather and all the activities before it turns to a harsh cold and ski season takes over the bulk of students weekends.
