Miles Medina, Staff Writer

The Coronado High School boys golf season is officially over. After a good, well fought season, these three students: Noah Keller, Anderew Merz, Jack Cintron, all ended the season by competing in the state tournament. Noah Keller sums up his experience at state as,“A difficult few days that [they] had to push through and [the team] learned a lot for the future years to come. Overall, it was just a fun experience even though [they] did not play as expected.” All in all, the team placed 12th at state, and Noah Keller took 37th place. Many of the team players wish to participate in out of state tournaments and practice to be ready for next season. When asked the highlight of his son Noah Answered,” [He] took second at the CSML (Colorado Springs Metro League ) Championship. The team also placed second. It was an overall great experience and it was a lot of fun memories as well.” After a brief interview with Andrew Merz, he summed up state by saying that,“It was a lot of fun on an amazing golf course. The area [they] played at in Montrose was just beautiful. [The team] played as hard as [they] could and hope to make it back to this state course next year.”Merz’ favorite part of the season were the practices, because they, .“have a really good close team bond and [they] just have so much fun.” The Coronado boys golf team practiced hard all off season and ended it well by having three representatives at state! Be sure to congratulate the team when you get the chance!
