Winter Fun Runs

Miles Medina, Staff Writer

The Coronado student and staff Winter Break officially starts December 21st and runs till January 8th. With all this time off student and staff may find themselves bored and not knowing what to do. Hopefully, with this time you can spend time with family and friends and catch up on some much needed sleep. However, when you are not doing any of these you can participate in one of the healthiest and most fun activities, running. According to a Business Insider article, “ running is one of the most straightforward ways to get the important benefits of exercise. Since it improves aerobic fitness, running is a great way to help improve cardiovascular health. Plus, it burns calories and can build strength, among other things.”

Colorado is a very active and healthy state and many of its citizens participate in outdoor activities such as running. One of Coronado’s Cross Country runners, Lauren Strizich says,” Running is very therapeutic and a very all around good exercise for the heart, legs, and mind.” Another one of Coronado’s Cross Country runners, Aidan Janney states,” Running is very fun and a great way to clear your mind. It is also a really fun bonding activity if done with other people!” Our home state of Colorado host fun runs that any skill runner can participate in :
