The last thing people are thinking about during these troubling times is the lack of sports. School sports and pro sports are just something people have sadly accepted as a loss at this point. Everyone just knows that they are not going to happen for a while, and it really saddens them because some people turn to sports for comfort and leisure. It really has been a major loss for so many people.

Well, some wonderful news for baseball fans and a great indication of the sports news to come is the pro baseball updates that were released recently. Baseball, as well as all other sports, may actually be returning sooner than people expected.

According to an ESPN article containing an interview with their own Jeff Passan,
people are feeling “increasingly optimistic that there will be baseball this year.” This update was released on April 27th, and the news has only gotten better from there.

ESPN updated this article this morning after receiving some news that may or may not be really great depending on how it is viewed. MLB teams are starting to ask their players to “get ready for baseball” according to Jeff Passan. The start date has not been confirmed yet, but there is a plan in the works for the fate of the 2020 baseball season.

The return of the Major League’s season may mean the return of other much anticipated sports as well, and that is something to get excited about! School sports are not in the cards for this year, but at least sports fanatics have something sports related to look forward to.
