Parent Teacher Conferences

Mckenzie Finn, Staff writer

Parent teacher conferences are right around the corner, and you might want to think about checking your grades and future assignments so you can stay up to date on them. Conferences are a meeting between your parents, teachers, and counselors about your performance in class this year.
Conferences will be held on the 27th and 28th of October. The 29th will not be available for conferences unless you need to reschedule or have a makeup conference. These conferences inform our parents about where we stand in class and what we have been up to in the first quarter. It is always good to check grades and missing assignments. If you can keep an eye out for any 0s, Ds or Fs, then you can talk to your teacher about makeup work, retakes, or other ways to recover credit. Second quarter just started, so it is a great idea to start off strong!
In order to improve your grades as much as you can, you may want to try going into your teacher’s classrooms during their planning period to discuss how the teacher can help you improve your grade or make up missing assignments (do keep in mind that many teachers may not accept late work from quarter 1)
Good luck students and have a great second quarter. Let’s start this one off right with good input from our teachers, so parents are happy with performance and behavior in school.
