As the new year begins, Coronado’s FCCLA will be attending the Spanish Peaks FCCLA Winter Conference on Monday, February 13, 2023, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The conference will be held at the Tesla Professional Development Building here in Colorado Springs, CO.

During this conference, FCCLA chapter participants will review and present their projects on education, leadership skills, food services, and design in front of a panel of judges who will give feedback on how to improve the members’ performance for the FCCLA State Leadership Conference at Denver, CO.

Mrs. Friesema, advisor for Coronado FCCLA, shared her excitement for the upcoming meeting: “I’m happy that I can host the conference this year for District 11 and to welcome other chapters to the joy of FCCLA. I have several students who have already started their Star Events (specific projects tied to state requirements) and are preparing to share what they’ve worked so hard on.”
