Boys Golf Takes Cougar Classic
September 28, 2015
At the Cougar Classic on Wednesday, Sep 23, at Kissing Camels, Cougar boys took first place. Luke Travins, 11, and Austin Burgess, 12, tied for second place, only a few strokes behind Chadd Vasquez, a Doherty golfer and friend of the boys. Isaac Petersilie, 12, tied for fifth, and Wes Moran, 12, tied for seventh.
“It was a fun time, but sad knowing our top three are leaving next year,” says Travins.
The boys are looking ahead to state in Fort Collins on Oct 5 and 6, where they hope to have a repeat of last year and take the championship.
