Have you ever been interested in going into a trade after High School? Well, Coronado has many classes designed to set you up for future success in the trades, one of these classes being Welding (Manufacturing and Fabrication 1 and 2).
Coronado is the only funded welding program in D11, and just this year, we have welcomed a new welding teacher, Mr. Charles Covington. Mr. Covington has a long background in welding and has even taught welding at Pikes Peak State College for the past several years. He brings the curriculum he has taught to his college students, so you can be sure to learn useful information in the class.
In addition to a new teacher, a remodeling of the welding room will soon be underway, and hopefully will be up and running by next semester. With this upgrade, there will be many new welding stations, as well as new equipment and various machines.
If welding is a career that interests you, be sure to check it out, and even if you aren’t interested in a career in welding, there are many fun lessons to be learned and projects to be made in a hands-on setting.
