On Oct 24 the Emma Crawford Coffin Races in Manitou became the biggest event in Manitou history with the most attendants and the most teams of racers than any other year since 1995. Over 60 teams had built and raced their creative coffins and costumes racing for one of the trophies for fastest team.

Team MGA Pediatric Home Healthcare was the fastest coffin with 25.01 seconds on the 195 yard course. Second place was team Vosler with a time of 26.71 seconds and third place went to the Sabaru Import Motors team with a time of 27.05 seconds.

After the races there was live music from local groups and lots of beer and dancing to celebrate the most successful year for the races.
