The Coronado Climbing Club made it to the state competition. The state competition will be held tomorrow, Saturday February 27, in Thornton CO. The climbing team has been very successful this season, and is one of the top teams in the region.

“Although we haven’t seen what the other regions look like we’re looking forward to the state competition. This year we are happy to have improved our placings and feel confident our hard work will pay off this weekend,” said Coach Felix.

The members on the team are all very strong competitors, and some practice up to six times a week. The men’s varsity is comprised of Eli Johnson, Damian Dworshak, Matt Smith, Ryan Kight, and Ryan Bingly.

“I am excited for tomorrow, and since our whole team has performed so well this season I really think we can win state this year,” said Eli Johnson, 11.

Good luck Cougars!
