The day that juniors and seniors have been waiting for is just around the corner: Prom. Although it may be the event of the season, there are a few eligibility requirements that have to be met before you can plan on attending. So before you go out a buy your fancy dress or your fitted tux, take a minute to look at these guidelines and make sure you will be able to attend.

• Students will not be able to attend if they have 15 or more unexcused PERIOD absences. This does not mean that you can miss 15 days; if you miss 15 class periods, unexcused, you are automatically ineligible to attend.
• Tardies are also put into consideration. Remember that three unexcused tardies will equal one unexcused class period, which will count against you.
• These eligibility guidelines will begin on February 29 and will be in affect until April 8.
