Coronado Track and Field Palmer Terror Meets

Last week, The Coronado Track and Field team went out to compete at the Palmer Terror Invitational Track Meet. Overall, Coronado did very well, with the Boys varsity team placing seventh and the Girls Varsity team placing fifth.
The girls varsity team did very well with Madeline Morland, 9, taking third place in the 1600 meter run, and Faith Roth, 9, taking fifth in the same event. Emily Ambuul, 12, took fifth place in the 300 meter hurdles. Celia Smith, 11, came in fourth place for the high jump final, and then 1st in the long jump final. Jaylen Hershberger, 10, came in second place for the long jump final.
The Boys team also performed extremely well. Gerrit Ralston, 12, took 3rd place in the 800 meter run. Charles Broomfield, 10, came in 3rd place for the discus throw, and Eli Stauffer, 12, came in second for the triple jump final.
The Freshman-Sophomore meet took place on April first and featured many of Coronado’s best underclassmen athletes. For the Girls Team, Maddison Wilson, 9, took first place in the hundred meter hurdles. Congratulations to Maddi Wilson for her accomplishment.
