Emily Ambuul and Isabel Fogle each recorded a hat trick in their blowout Mercy Rule win over Mitchell.

Hats Off to Cougar Soccer!
After disappointing losses to Liberty and Pine Creek last week, the girls’ soccer team rebounded in glorious fashion against Mitchell on Tuesday night. Six different Cougars scored against the Marauders, but seniors Isabel Fogle and Emily Ambuul did the most damage. Each girl scored a hat trick-three goals in one game-and, for Ambuul, it was her second of the season.
Sophomore Alex Brown and seniors Alli Hill, Renee Alvarado and Rebekah Tonneson each recorded one goal in the blowout win. The 10-0 score shut the game down thanks to the Mercy Rule.
Six different players also recorded assists in the game. Ambuul lead the team with two, giving her eight total points on the game. Alvarado also added to her point total with an assist in addition to her goal. Freshman Isabella Janney, junior Alese Abitia, and seniors Kaylee Uebel and Nicole Dornick also helped out their teammates with an assist apiece. Janney said that “even though I didn’t score, I am so happy about that game.”
Isabel Fogle was named the player of the game.
Congrats, Cougars.
The next game is on April 21st against league rival Palmer at 6:00 at Garry Berry Stadium. Good luck, ladies.
