With many sports kicking off for the season so too does the girls varsity softball team with games against Fountain Fort Carson, Mesa Ridge, Vista Ridge and Pine Creek and many more on the schedule. The first game against the Fountain Fort Carson Trojans was a loss with a final score of 16-0 although the Cougars did get 6 hits throughout the game. The second game was a loss against the Vista Ridge Wolves with a final score of 20-4 and 4 total hits. The game on Thursday Aug. 25 against Mesa Ridge was a loss with a score of 14-2 and the most recent game on Aug. 30 the team lost against Pine Creek with a score of 13-1 and 2 hits for Coronado.

Julie Callan, 10, said “As a team we need to work together more to start picking up on winning the games… My personal expectations is that we’ll work together more as a family.”
