Coronado has many types of art programs ranging from painting to digital photography, each providing creative outlets for artistic students. One of the many artists that walks our halls is Kenny Bert.

He mostly identifies with pottery, but occasionally draws. He originally joined honors painting to acquire credits, but soon found his passion laid with the pottery wheel. This allows him to create physical representations of what he imagine. His inspiration for his work comes from the ocean and it’s teaming aquatic life.

The class is also very flexible, Kenny stated, “You can do whatever you want and don’t have to be told to work on specific pieces.” This flexibility shows through in his work, which is filled with remarkable detail and care.

Ms.Foos, his teacher, added “he’s an excellent student and puts in focus and time into his work.”Kenny is truly an impressive artist and even though he’s graduating in May, students can still take advantage of Coronado’s great art programs.
