The Coronado women’s swim team is swimming fast and working hard at the state competition. The state team consists of Lauren Gryboski, Mia Shaeffer, Alexa Touchard, Steph Boyd, Erin Field, Abigail Shaw, Naomi Shaw, Leanne Telle, and Maycie Rogers. The girls left on Thursday to head down to Thornton at the VMAC (Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center) and take the lead in their events.

After the first day at state, Mia Shaeffer made it back in the 100 fly along with the 100 back. Abigail Shaw made it back in diving and Stephanie Boyd made it back in the 50 free, while all of the relays made it back as well. Lauren Gryboski placed 12th in dive and overall the team has had an outstanding performance. Keep it up ladies, Coronado is rooting for you!
