Throughout the school year, Cougars Care, Coronado’s student-operated volunteer organization, puts on a clothing exchange for all who wish to partake. The event took place in the auditorium lobby this Monday, in order for students to have more opportunities to participate during the eight-period day.
“It’s free thrifting,” said Lilly Manier, Class of 2024, a senior at Coronado and Cougars Care volunteer who assisted in the setup of the event. Manier explained that parent and community volunteers, and of course, clothing donations, are integral to a successful clothing exchange.
When asked about Cougars Care, Manier said, “I think we do a great deal of good work,” and the group will continue to serve the community with compassion and dedication. But Cougar’s Care can use more help, and donations and volunteers are always appreciated. All inquiries can be directed to Mr. Brent Urban, director of Cougars Care.
