On Saturday, Oct. 31, the Coronado Cross Country teams participated in the Colorado Cross Country Championship, hosted by Cheyenne Mountain High School. This was an extremely competitive race, with teams from all over the state of Colorado coming to participate. Out of 25 high schools, Coronado placed fifth in the State, with many of our runners finishing in top spots.

The girls Varsity team came in fifth place overall, with Madeline Morland, 9, leading the team in. Morland finished in 24th place overall, with a time of 19:46. Faith Roth, 10, finished in 29th place with a time of 19:50. Elana Muzzy, 10, followed closely behind coming in 34th place, with a time of 19:57. Taylor Dutton, 10, finished in 46th place with a time of 20:14. Chloe Cassens finished the race in 66th place, with a time of 20:34.

Congratulations to all of Coronado’s runners. This race finished out their fantastic season. This year’s Varsity team was comprised of some of the best freshman and sophomores athletes that Coronado has to offer.
