Key Performers: Under new head coach Conrad Gonzalez, the tallest hurdle facing the Coronado softball team is the team’s all-encompassing youth, having graduated seven seniors following the 2015-2016 season. Spearheading Coronado softball in the 2015-2016 season is sophomore Julie Callan, who leads returning letter winners in 2015-2016 batting average and runs, boasting a 0.302 batting average and 16 runs on the 2015-2016 season, as well as a 0.690 fielding percentage. Among upperclassmen, senior Sarah Peek and junior Grace Leahy prove key players, both batting above 0.200 and fielding 0.500 on the 2015-2016 season; Peek scoring 8 runs and two stolen bases, Leahy scoring 12 runs and four stolen bases. Varsity pitchers for the 2016-2017 include Brittanie Bartley, 11, and Karly Jervay, 11.
