Last Friday night, the 14th, Coronado faced off with the Fountain Fort Carson Trojans in one of their closest games of the season that unfortunately ended with another loss for the Cougars. The final score tallying at 55-59, Coronado fought down to the last second, and maintained a higher score until the last two minutes of the game.

I think that towards the end there were just some positions we didn’t pull out. This was definitely a game we should have won, but we’ll just learn from it, and go in strong next time. This game was super intense, and even though we lost it was really close, and we fought hard,” said Kaddin Stanley, 11.

Stanley scored a total of 13 points with 3 three-pointers, and Ashton Rogers once again played a full game and led the team in scoring 17 total points with 5 three-pointers. The whole team worked hard throughout the entire game, but the Trojans sadly got the better of them in the end.

“It was still a fast paced, competitive game, and it’s always good to have a game like that because it help with making progress. I think, that in the end it just came down to them making their shots, and us not making ours,” said Ashton Rogers, 11.

The next home game will be against Palmer on January 21 at 6:30 p.m. Come support your Cougars during their White Out game!
