On March 3rd, our baseball boys battled against Grand Junction Central, a five hour drive away! The game was originally scheduled for March 24th, but was obviously cancelled due to the snow day.  After two weeks of not swinging during spring break, the team was a little rusty. Senior Tanner Mayberry said, “our bats were cooled down but we noticed we can compete with a playoff team”.The final score was 8-2, but the game was hard fought.

Yesterday, our team faced Fountain Fort Carson. Our boys were still struggling to find the bats, until the 6th inning according to Mayberry. The Cougs couldn’t quite catch up, losing just barely with a final score of 5-3.

Despite these losses, our baseball team is not discouraged and are hopeful to regain some energy in the future.
Their next game is 4/6 at Pine Creek at 4:30! Come out and give our team the energy they deserve!
