Girls varsity golf has had a strong start to their season, and at their last match at Cheyenne Shadows, the team showed their potential for a fantastic season. At the meet the Cougars competed against upwards of fifteen teams and came out second, a finish that head coach Kelly Hodge said revealed the team’s potential. “Coronado girls surprised themselves yesterday with a second place team finish,” continuing, “It’s a great tournament start for the season and now they are just going to work harder to make sure we place in the rest.” Madi Eurich, 11, and Kate Griffin, 9, both played exceptionally well at the tournament and ended up tying for fourth. Griffin said about the event, “The enthusiasm and support from the team is what made us do well.” The Cougars have started their season off very well, and are looking forward to their upcoming match at Pine Creek on April 17. Good luck Cougars!
