On Monday, October 2nd, the boys tennis team was lined up to scrimmage against Palmer to stay fresh for regionals which are on Wednesday and Thursday of this week. But because the varsity Cougars have already faced the Terrors two other times this season and won both times, they decided that they did not need to play and beat them a third time.

Creatively enough, what the tennis team did rather than play Palmer, was to play a few parents and friends of the team. Ashton Rogers, 12, said that “it’s always fun to play older players because they play a different style that forces us to play better.” Rogers also felt that the experience with the more seasoned tennis players was “beneficial because the level of competition didn’t drop off.”

With this refreshing Master-versus-Grasshopper approach, our boys should be as sharp as ever for Regionals this upcoming Wednesday and Thursday.

Come and support your favorite tennis boys this week!
