Hurricane Hilary and Its Effects So Far

Hurricane Hilary hit Southern California with enough warning to help people evacuate. Flights, boats, and buses were canceled due to dangerous weather causing tornadoes and heavy winds. People could still drive to safe areas of the state to keep them sheltered.

The hurricane so far hasn’t caused too much significant damage other than severe rainfall and flooding.

Jadyn Brown, a resident of California that has been nearly affected by the hurricane, states, “I was actually petrified with the dangers and effects it could have on my surroundings.” The fears of having cities and homes destroyed affects everyone; hopefully, the hurricane passes leaving little damage.
