The Advanced Acting class is putting together their final project, a showcase demonstrating the student’s skills in writing, directing, and acting. The showcase will be held on May 11th at 7 p.m., in the Coronado Auditorium. Admission is $6 minus the roll of a dice, meaning there’s a chance of getting in free of charge.
The showcase will feature thirty different plays performed in an hour, the audience members determine the order of the plays. Time stops for nothing but death or pizza! Attendees can expect a variety of entertainment like comedy, drama, and dance numbers. Asha Hart, Class of 2025, who is participating in the showcase comments on the fun experiences the class has had while working on this project. “It’s such a fun part of being in the Advanced Acting class. This project has been in the making for about a month now. The process coming up to the showcase includes writing scripts, approving scripts, casting, blocking, and putting all the tech. needs together. Naomi Riggs, Class of 2026, expresses her thoughts on what being in the showcase means to her: “The showcase is an amazing opportunity for students who have a passion for theater.
