Boys Baseball Begins

Sierra Meisner, Staff Writer

Boys’ baseball kicked off the season this Tuesday with a game against Pueblo East. Losing by only one run, the game ended with a score of 13-14. The key player of the game was Patrick Tabrum, senior. He had four runs, one double, and a batting average of 1.00. Not only did Patrick have the amazing average of 1.00, but so did Brett Papentuss (12), Payton Skur (12), Zack Assay (11), and Luke Zahlmann (12). The overall game was very close with only four batters striking out, the game was fast paced and exciting.

“The game itself had a very slow start, as we were down fourteen to two, but then in the fourth quarter, we rallied together and got ten runs. I think this showed our ability as a team to not give up” said Patrick of the last game.

The next game is March 19 at Pueblo against Arvada, so come support your cougars!
