Young Peoples Art Exhibition

Shea Ward, Staff Writer

Last week the 54th annual Young Peoples Art Exhibition took place, featuring over 300 works of art by the top high school artists in Colorado Springs. The show is very selective, as high school teachers only select 5 pieces every year to best exemplify the pieces of the year.

“The art show went really well. I submitted an Altered Photography piece. I like photography because is kind of an outlet for me, it’s just something that I have a knack for, and it’s easy for me to enjoy.” Said Jada Peacock, 1st Place Altered Photography Winner.

Other Coronado students that had work submitted to the show are:
Kailee Acker
Angelina Blanco
Jullian Strobel-Ellzey
Mady Fisk
Isabel Fogle
Beau Foos
Maniyah Hart-Vaughn
Chase McElhany
Jada Peacock
Sabel Robles
Sam Rogers
Vivian Schmidt

The show has been taking place at the Citadel Mall, and runs through may 7th if you would like to see all of the brilliant works of art that have been submitted.
