Gas prices in Colorado Springs continue to impact drivers as costs remain higher than many would prefer. As of mid-March, regular gas prices are around $3.60-$3.99, depending on the gas station.
For many drivers, especially students and commuters, the cost adds up quickly. With daily travel for school, work, and activities, even small price increases can make a difference.
Ryker McCombe, Class of 2026, said, “I pay for my own gas, and it is becoming more frustrating every time I have to fill up. I try to carpool and limit my gas usage when it is convenient.”
Many drivers are adjusting their habits by carpooling, combining trips, and avoiding unnecessary driving. Gas prices in Colorado are influenced by factors such as oil costs, seasonal demand, the war in Iran, and supply.
For now, drivers say they are focused on saving gas when they can, while hoping that prices become more stable.
