The first official day for Winter Sports is Monday, November 15. This means student-athletes have to be fully registered by Friday, November 12, 2021. Winter Sports are a great way to get into some school spirit and try out for some sports you may be interested in.
Here is some information about each sport this winter:
Boys Basketball – Coach Cody Bernbeck
Boys basketball tryouts are on the 15th of November. So, get ready for some competition because there are already people training for tryouts with coach Cody Bernbeck. The boys training will be in the aux gym after school from 3:15 to 5:15 PM 9-12 grades.
Girls Basketball – Coach Jeff Beatty
Open Gym is every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 – 5:30pm. Get in shape for the upcoming Season. Tryouts are just around the corner!!
Boys’ & Girls’ Wrestling—Coach Matt Brickell
Preseason workouts have begun every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00—5:30 pm in the wrestling room! There are no tryouts, just be part of the team! Wrestling season starts on November 15th. Preseason is on Tuesday and Thursday’s afternoons from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm. This is the girls’ first Varsity season at Coronado!
Girls’ Swimming—Coach Nate Holm
Starting November 1st, Girls Swim and Dive will be practicing Monday through Friday from 3:30pm – 5:30pm. Meet in the Cafeteria after school, starting November 1st.
Ice Hockey—Coach Mark Tabrum
There are not updates on when tryouts are and when the season starts.
So, get ready for the winter season sports and as for Coronado students not going out for sports, try and show some school spirit and come join us in supporting our fellow classmates!
