Have you ever had a long, treacherous assignment, with little to no clue on how to complete it? Everyone has, but what is important is that you avoid using AI when times like this occur.
AI was first created in 1956, as the idea of human intelligence stimulated in machines, to help with problem solving and general intelligence. However it wasn’t until recently that the advancements have become so significant. Many AI-generated photos and videos have become so realistic, some can’t tell the difference between the real and AI. Artificial intelligence has become a tool, a toy, and a trouble. Not only is this a great way to assist students on their homework, create funny pictures, and answer lingering questions, but it has become a danger to the world we live in. AI can be used for negative purposes like encouraging a user to use their brain less, and causing significant harm to the environment.

Using AI for just one question wastes up to 500 milliliters, or one bottle of water. This is extremely dangerous for the environment, and effects the fresh water resources we have today.
Artificial intelligence is teaching humans to find the easy way out of situations. When challenges are presented, and requires one to put in less effort. it is important that people learn to face their problems and questions by learning the right way, rather than the easy way.
Many teachers struggle with their students using AI. AI can be used in a resourceful way, and can be hard to recognize from a teacher‘s point of view. Mrs. McDowell, English teacher at Coronado, stated that “AI is turning us into robots, it takes the whole meaning out of learning, and I hate it.” The frustration comes not because students are using AI, but because they’re no longer putting any effort in. How can society maintain the value of learning and doing by using its resources, such as books, peers, websites and paper? This is a change that would benefit more than just schools, but a society as a whole.
