Coronado has found a new choir teacher after the departure of Mr. Hoder in November.
On January 7, Mr. Ferguson was chosen as the new choir director. He was a voice teacher before going to work with the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center. While employed there, he worked with several high school students in their Youth Repertory Choir.
Mr. Ferguson joined Coronado because he was interested in working with older students and the school’s good reputation. He mentioned his interest in expanding the choir program with the additions of acapella and jazz choirs. He is also looking forward to growing as a musician, through playing piano for the class.
First year Repertory Choir student, Amelia Mavety, Class of 2027, noted he “seems very passionate about the job and he brings a great energy every day.”

Hi Tommy,
This is the Cougar Daily Staff, not Mr. Ferguson. The article is just about him, but written by a student. We are not sure if he will continue that tradition or not, but will try to check next week.
