Coronado High School’s Chamber Orchestra competed on March 2nd at the CASTA regionals and, with hard work and dedication, earned a Superior rating. Additionally, with this win, they were chosen to compete in the state competition at CSU Fort Collins on April 23, 2026.
The path for the Coronado Chamber Orchestra’s success in this competition was due to, not only the work they put in, but the community they built over the years to get to the point they’re at right now. In an interview with Jennifer West, Orchestra director at Coronado High School, she added, “I would say the most memorable moment during the competition was the feedback we received from the clinician…She commented that not only was our performance great, but our orchestra was like a family, everyone looked out for one another.”
Overall, the Coronado High School’s Chamber Orchestra is moving in the right direction with effort and dedication from the students and Mrs. West. The ensemble remains focused as they strive to continue the successful path they are on into April!
