On Saturday, March 16, 2024, the Coronado Boys’ Swim team faced Woodland Park at their pool. Coronado fielded most of their team, except for a few people out of state, while Woodland Park could only muster half of their swimmers: two out of four.

Coronado won the meet, with several relays making state times by several seconds. Justus Schnakenberg, Class of 2026, was only .3 seconds short of making the 24.3 state time in the 50 freestyle, but failed to make it due to “slipping off the wall.”

Coach Adam Austin said, “It wasn’t the most traditional meet, but everyone still did a great job in their events.”

The boys’ next meet is at the Cheyenne Mountain Invitational on April 5 and 6.
